METHODOLOGY

The Oral History project is based on a methodology that it is important to take account.
In reference to this, I must attend to:

  • Topic and narrator. I consider that I choose the perfect narrator because the first thing that I did it was thinking in the narrator and later in the topic, and then this facilitated my work. As a consequence of this, it was easier to define the project and establish the limits of the topic.
  • Preparing for the interview. In order to develop the project I had to attend to the contextual information. For then, I looked for in some newspapers and libraries’ WebPages and in Wikipedia. These sources helped me to elaborate the questions of the interview, to analyze the findings and to do the conclusion establishing a relationship between the things that happened in the past and the things of nowadays. Moreover, to improve this part of the project, I could research more and find some statistical sources to the blog.
  • Interviewing and transcribing. The conditions of the interview were adequate (place, time…) and the interview had clear questions necessary for the record with the authority of the interviewer. As a consequence of this, it was easy to analyze and transcribe the findings. In reference to the suggestions, I could have done more specific questions or include more anecdotes about the things told by the narrator.
